Joseph E. Lerner

Joseph E. Lerner was born and raised in Maryland but lived most of his adult life in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. His flash fiction and poetry have appeared in 100 Word Story, Gargoyle, matchbook, Fantastic Imaginary Creatures, and elsewhere. In 1981 as editor/publisher he founded The Washington (D.C.) Book Review and in 1992 Furious Fictions, a Magazine of Short-Short Stories, one of the first literary journals devoted exclusively to flash fiction. He lives in Montpelier, Vermont.
